Andrea is passionate about helping people integrate natural therapies into their cancer healing journey. She offers a unique perspective, having worked as a radiation therapist in Canada for nearly a decade. She quickly realized the gaps that existed in conventional cancer care and began to research and learn about complementary therapies. Five years ago, Andrea retired from healthcare and moved to Costa Rica with her family. Since leaving the world of conventional oncology Andrea has undertaken a deep exploration of natural cancer healing therapies. She has studied yoga, integrative nutrition, detoxification, holistic cannabis, and herbalism. She has since undertaken trainings in psycho-social oncology, psychotherapy & counselling, energy medicine, sound healing, releasing trapped emotions and belief clearing,
She integrates many of these therapies into her clinical practice with clients. Each Cancer Alchemy Healing Program is tailored and personalized to meet the needs and goals of the client. The result is a holistic approach that unifies the physical, mental and emotional components of healing. In addition to homeschooling her two boys, Andrea also operates an online cancer coaching business, Cancer Alchemy.
Tish is a retreat specialist, curating transformational experiences internationally that cultivates awakening and healing. Originally from South Africa, she now calls Costa Rica her home and for the past 5 years have been co-creating health & wellness experiences, coordinating YTT programs and plant medicine ceremonies. Tish is an extraordinaire when it comes to coordinating and working with talent and influencers. Her passion is her service to humanity.
She has been fortunate to have lived in multiple countries and traveled throughout the world exploring different healing practices. She journeyed to Peru and completed her RYS 200H yoga and meditation certification to deepen her connection to self. She studied ancient healing techniques with elders from Guatemala to Colombia and shares a variety of holistic healing practices that includes sound therapy, womb clearing and healing creating safe containers for a deeper exploration to one’s true Self.
An awakener of the Bliss body and a leader in emerging Feminine consciousness she brings her gifts forward to help humans transcend blocks, balance energy and activate a healthy mind, body spirit relationship through embodiment and intentional living. She reminds her students that personal growth is not only powerful and self elevating, but also has the potential to be fun and joyfully integrated into everyday living.
Over the past three decades, holistic nutritionist Nathaniel Mead has been investigating nutritional, botanical, and other self-care strategies for optimal healing, health promotion and disease prevention. In addition to his track record as an holistic nutritionist and integrative health coach, Nathaniel worked for many years as a health and science writer, including nine years as a contributing editor to Natural Health magazine, and 18 years as an editor for the peer-reviewed cancer journal, Integrative Cancer Therapies. He earned his Master of Science degree in Nutrition from the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, as well as undergraduate degrees in Biology and Science Education from Reed College and East Carolina University, respectively. He currently offers nutritional consultations by phone and in person to people from all walks of life. The majority of his nutrition clients are either facing a cancer diagnosis or striving to stay in remission. In his coaching sessions, Nathaniel relies heavily on his experience working for five integrative medicine clinics, weaving together nutritional, botanical, mind-body, and lifestyle strategies that can help you overcome disease while also bolstering your health and personal well-being.

Pricing is USD per person based on double occupancy. Single supplement available for additional $500. Gratuities are included but you are encouraged to reward exceptional service as you feel is appropriate.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept everyone who pays the fee? Simply put - no. This is a shared and sacred space and not everyone who applies will be invited to attend the event. You must first schedule a one hour call to be sure that this event is a good fit for all. When you choose a package on this page you will be provided an opportunity to schedule a call with Andrea, the Retreat Facilitator and Holistic Cancer Therapist.
What can I expect from this retreat? You can expect one of the most transformative adventures of your life. The retreat is an all-inclusive experience that you will share with your caregiver and 10 other people who are ready to trust, commit and surrender. You can expect to forge new friendships, discover remarkable insights about yourself and your beliefs, devise a more empowering mindset, and aquire skills, strategies, and tools that you can take home and implement for life.
How long is the retreat and when exactly is it? Attendees will arrive at the hotel on the afternoon of November 12, 2019. We will provide transport to and from San Jose (SJO) airport to the event hotel. The first evening will be Welcoming Ceremony and dinner. The retreat will go on for six amazing nights. The last morning Monday, November 18th we will share our final breakfast, Closing Ceremony and attendees will leave the resort around noon to return to San Jose, Costa Rica. El Castillo Hotel has offered incredibly competitive rates should you wish to stay longer for further integration and relaxation.
Is airfare included? Attendees are expected to arrange their own airfaire from their home to San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO). However, that is the ONLY component of the retreat that attendee is responsible for once your spot is claimed.
Is everything else incuded? Attendees are responsible for alcoholic beverages (not recommended during the event) and optional extra services not included in your chosen package. Transportation to and from the airport in Costa Rica will be provided for you.
Do I need to share a room? The resort has 9 rooms with a total of 10 beds (one room has two bedrooms). The event is setup to support both the client and their caregiver. Pricing is based per person based on double occupancy. You will share a room with your caregiver, and accomodations will be made where you are not sharing a bed (certain suites contain a sofabed as well). If you are a group of four or more, we may make the two bedroom suite available to you on request (first come, first served). We encourage family/caregiver participation in all activities where applicable.
Who is my caregiver? This will vary - and is personal to you - but this could include a spouse, relative or friend. Whoever you feel is best to support you on this journey to wellness that you are embarking upon. Caregiver support is encouraged but is by no means a requirement.
What is the cancellation/refund policy? Due to the nature of this event, all sales are final. Please triple check that you are able to attend the retreat before purchasing your space to avoid any issues.
Do you offer payment plans? Payment plans are available at a marginal extra cost, but the entire event must be paid in advance of attending.
How many spots are available? Due to limited space we can host seven primary participants and up to 16 total participants (one caregiver spot for each attendee).
Will we have free time during the retreat? Yes, absolutely. While we have many amazing things planned, we also want to allow for time to process the information and transformation! It's about balance and rejuvenation.
